Bust out your sunnies, friends, because on June 21 at 5:13 am, the Sun takes a dip in Cancerian waters! This is also known as the Summer Solstice– the official start of Summer and the longest day of the year! As we settle into warm evenings, late sunsets, ice-cream dripping down our hands, BBQs, pool parties, and beach days, Cancer Season marks the start of something new. As we officially turn the corner out of Spring (and Gemini Season), we’re asked to connect to our inner, emotional selves. Cancer is all about the feeling, and while they’re often painted as the crybaby of the zodiac, it’s important to remember that being in touch with our inner emotions allows us to be in touch with our inner selves. In a world where we step closer and closer towards desensitization, Cancer Season reminds us that empathy is our superpower. Represented by the Crab and ruled by the Moon, we’re invited to flow with our phases. When we think of the Moon, we offer grace when it’s full, when it’s dark, and every phase in between– so why don’t we extend ourselves the same grace? As we settle into this season of feeling, it’s only amplified by the New Moon in Cancer on June 28, Mercury in Cancer on July 5, and Venus in Cancer on July 17. With this in mind, we not only have Solar themes, like our essence, taking on a more Cancerian ~vibe~, but also our minds and hearts. Mercury in Cancer invites us to speak and think with more empathy and feeling, while Venus in Cancer invites us to open our hearts and relationships to a new level of emotional depth and connection.

But! We’re getting ahead of ourselves; On June 22, Venus moves out of her home sign, Taurus, and into fun and flirty Gemini. This is the time to bring a fun, social element to your relationships. Enjoy an Aperol Spritz or Shirley Temple on a patio as you chit-chat with friends, family, or lovers, and stir up some mental stimulation! Then, on June 28, the New Moon in Cancer forms a square to Jupiter. While this New Moon asks you to set intentions and roadmap the pathway towards your goals, the square to Jupiter presents an important question: what is the big, bold obstacle in the way? What action needs to be done to navigate this obstacle?

As we move through Cancer Season, Mars moves into Taurus on July 5. I always think of Mars in Taurus as a freight train– it takes some time to get things moving, but when it does, it’s all so difficult to pump the brakes. The Full Moon on July 13 gives us some nuanced and interesting cosmic energy to work with, as it forms a trine to the planet of illusion (Neptune), a sextile to the planet of erraticism (Uranus). As the Full Moon is a time for releasing, we’re encouraged to let go of anything that may seem a little too good to be true, and move ourselves towards a space of creativity and innovation. What’s so interesting about this Full Moon, outside of it’s aspects to Neptune and Uranus, is that it’s also aspecting the North Node by sextile and the South Node by trine. This gives this Full Moon a slightly fated quality to it, as the Lunar Nodes deal with our cosmic fate, karma, and baggage. To keep it simple: always remember that the work has a purpose, whether it be to let go of our past life baggage, or to project us toward’s our soul’s mission. A few days later on July 17, Venus moves out of fun and flirty Gemini, and into tender, loving Cancer. Venus in Cancer is like cotton candied skies reflecting on still water – she’s dreamy, emotive, and deeply caring. While this energy is sweet and tender, Mercury moves into Leo on July 19, making the collective loud! Mercury in Leo wants to roar, after all, so while there may be a sweetness in the air, there’s also a tendency to speak in ways that are bold, bright, and dare I say, dramatic.

For more information on how this month’s astro-weather will play out for you, read on! (Hint: read for both your Sun sign AND Rising sign!)

Aries

Dearest Aries, this Cancer Season invites you inward to your sanctuary of self. How does your home space feel? How do you connect with family, roots, and ancestry? There is no one right answer, because it’s so deeply, intimately, personal to you, my friend. The important thing here is that you settle into the feeling of it all. The New Moon in Cancer on June 28 forms a square to Jupiter, which is occupying your space of self. While you may be feeling relatively jovial and abundant these days, there’s a bit of a tension that arises with this New Moon for you. This is a wonderful time for you to start asking the important questions as you establish how you want your inner self and home to feel. What needs to be done to accomplish your goals and intentions? What large obstacles need to be removed? Is, perhaps, part of the obstacle yourself? Much to consider! As we move through Cancer Season and approach the Full Moon on July 13, you’re asked to take a look at the balance (or lackthereof) between your private, home life, and your public, visible life. Simply put, this could be something like a work/life balance, but to be honest, it feels heavier than that. With this Full Moon, you’re encouraged to let go of what no longer serves you – whether that be delusional thought processes and hidden secrets or chaotic values and financial situations. The support of Neptune, Uranus, and the Lunar Nodes makes this Full Moon mystical, magical, and potent for releasing, but it’s up to you to do the work.

Taurus

This Cancer Season, dear Taurus, you are invited to settle into the feeling and intuition of your communication, community, and childhood learning. We’re talking the fundamentals of being! When we really strip away all of the noise, there are just a few things we have that bring us together– information sharing and connection with our community. Where can you invite in some caring, connection, and empathy for your fellow neighbor? The New Moon in Cancer on June 28 forms a square to Jupiter, which is bringing a magnifying glass to the secrets and hidden corners deep within your subconscious. How can this emphasis inspire your intention setting as you work towards fostering a more loving, caring, community? As a Taurus, you’re often fixed and steadfast in your convictions, but this New Moon invites you to recognize where you can initiate some change. Settle into the feeling of it all, because the Full Moon on July 13 asks you to look at the bigger picture. Highlighting the area of your life focused on higher learning, expansiveness, philosophy, and far-distance travel, there’s a seriousness and practicality that informs what needs to be released. While the Moon in Capricorn is a challenging place to be, there is a level of rationality that comes into play, which allows us to “cut the fat”, for lack of a better expression. This Full Moon is receiving some help from illusive Neptune and innovative Uranus, as well as the Lunar Nodes of Fate – she’s a magical one! Try not to get lost in the sauce of it all, my friend, because it’s up to you do to the work.

Gemini

As the dust settles from celebrating you, Gemini, this Cancer Season invites you to pay attention to your money, assets, values, and finances. One thing to keep in mind is that it’s not always the materialistic things that hold value, but also our morals and beliefs. As we do in Cancer Season, it’s time to lean into the feeling of it all. It’s likely that money and financial situations elicit an emotional response from you, and I’m here to remind you that that is okay. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to feel safe, secure, and emotionally supported by money (even if our society has deemed that as “taboo”). The New Moon on June 28 invites you inward towards that safety and security – what intentions and goals need to be set so you can establish more financial security? Monetary comfort? Emotionally intuitive values? This is the time for you to get specific and plant seeds of intention, and soon that money tree will blossom. The Full Moon on July 13 then invites you to look at all that is opposite of your personal money, finances, and values. This means that there is an emphasis on not only other people’s money and resources, but also the way in which others provide you with support and assistance. It can be incredibly hard to ask for and accept help, but this Full Moon invites you to release any of those doubts, guilt, and shame. With support from illusive Neptune, innovative Uranus, and the Lunar Nodes of Fate, this Full Moon is here to keep you practical and realistic in the face of smoke and mirrors. What can you release? What do you want to hold on to? You have the answers within you, all you have to do is look a little deeper.

Cancer

Dearest Cancer, it is your time to shine! As the Sun settles into Cancer, we’re blessed with the begining of summer here in the northern hemisphere, and we cannot help but lean into the emotive nostalgia of summer’s past. As mentioned earlier, your essence is a lesson to us all – there is power in feeling, especially in a world where we’re hardened to not do so. The New Moon on June 28 invites you to set goals and intentions for your next year. With some inflated challenges arising with your career and reputation, this New Moon is asking you the important questions: are you feeling aligned with the work you’re doing? Does your career and public persona reflect who you are? What intentions need to be set so you can work towards achieving all of the abundance and recognition you so deeply deserve? Much to consider, my friend! As we approach the Full Moon on July 13, you’re asked to take a look at not only who you are and who you want to be, but also the relationships and partnerships in your life. This is the time to evaluate who and what is worth holding onto, and who and what needs to be let go. While the Moon in Capricorn is uncomfortable, there is a level of rationality and practicality here, so allow yourself to lean into the more analytical side of yourself. While it’s still important to balance the feeling of it all, sometimes we need rationality to keep us tethered to Earth. Furthturemore, this Full Moon is mustering up some support from illusive Neptune, innovative Uranus, and the Lunar Nodes of Fate. Wooo, baby! She’s a potent one, but magical, at that. Cheers to another year, my dear!

Leo

Oof, Leo, this Cancer Season may have you feeling like you’re loosing steam. Don’t fret– your season is just around the corner! As we settle into this season, your attention turns to the depths of your subconscious mind. Sticky stuff, but when approached with love, grace, empathy, and compassion, my friend, you can process anything. It’s important to remember that during this time, (and all times), you have a right to feel what you’re feeling. The New Moon on June 28 provides you with the space to sit down and marinate in your feelings, but be aware of some challenges arising due to Jupiter’s square. This presents some challenges, particularly as it relates to higher learning, religion, and philosophy. Take this time to reflect and turn inward to determine how some of your strong-held beliefs or philosophies may be holding your mental space hostage. There’s nothing wrong with changing your thoughts or beliefs when presented with new information, my friend! As we make our way through the rest of Cancer Season, the Full Moon on July 13 asks you to look at the way in which your mental body interacts with your physical body. With the Moon in Capricorn, there’s a bit of discomfort here. However, the Moon in Capricorn reminds us that sometimes it’s important to bring rationality and practicality to our emotional self. While feeling is of the utmost of importance, it’s also important that we balance ourselves out with practical, attainable habits and goals. If there are any daily rituals that are no longer working for you, now is the time to let them go. With support from illusive Neptune, innovative Uranus, and the Lunar Nodes of Fate, this Full Moon is pure magic, baby!

Virgo

Dearest Virgo, this Cancer Season brings light and intuition to your social spheres and networks. It’s so deeply important that you connect on an emotional level with those in your high-level community, so this is the time in which you can evaluate whether these social spheres are supporting you, or holding you back. With the New Moon in Cancer on June 28, you’re invited to get deeply intentional about the direction you’d like this area of your life to go. While there may be some challenges that arise, particularly related to other people and their resources, at the end of the day, this New Moon is here to establish fertile ground for you to blossom. The Full Moon on July 13 highlights both your social networks and creative endeavors. It’s important to remember that creativity, play, pleasure, and passion is the lifeblood of all that we do. While the Moon in Capricorn is generally uncomfortable, it also serves as a reminder that rationality and practicality can come in handy. This Full Moon is gaining support from illusive Neptune, innovative Uranus, and the Lunar Nodes of Fate, so the releasing that is done with this Moon is one that is steeped in Soul work. Take this time to recognize what is working for you and what isn’t – if it’s not inspiring you, perhaps it’s time to let it go. This Full Moon is magic, especially if you work it.

Libra

It’s time to shine, Libra, as this Cancer Season highlights your career, reputation, and how you are seen! It’s important that you feel emotionally supported in your career and goals, so this is the perfect time to evaluate whether your current situation is doing just that. The New Moon on June 28 asks you take a look at how far you’ve come and to ask the questions: what (or who) is working, and what (or who) is not. You may find some pushback or challenge arising during this time, particularly as it relates to partnerships and relationships, but this challenge is here to help stir up some action. After all, you can’t plant a tree without digging a hole first. During this time, take a moment to turn inward and determine what goals and intentions you want to set for yourself and your aspirations. Come the Full Moon on July 13, you’ll be asked to look at the balance (or lackthereof) of your work and home life. While the Moon in Capricorn is generally uncomfortable, there is an important reminder here that sometimes we must be practical, sustainable, and realistic. If you find you’re leaning so much into your work that you don’t have the time to rest and restore, you’ll find yourself burnt out. On the contrary, if you find yourself resting too much, it’s hard to get the ball rolling on your goals. The key here is to find the balance– and with support from illusive Neptune, innovative Uranus, and the Lunar Nodes of Fate, this time is sure to be one that is magical, karmic, and important to your Soul’s work.

Scorpio

Dear Scorpio, this Cancer Season is all about your emotional expansiveness! If you’ve been feeling called to lean into higher learning, philosophy, and travel, the time is now. It’s important that you feel emotionally supported and intuitively connected to higher learning, and a deep thinker by nature, you’re provided with the space to really dive to the bottom of the knowledge ocean. The New Moon on June 28 calls you to set goals and intentions related to your expansiveness. While there may be some challenge arising, particularly related to your daily habits and routines, you’re being called to take an action that will help you grow and expand in a way that takes you closer towards your highest potential. This is the time to ask the important questions: how have my thoughts or beliefs limited me in the past? Are they continuing to limit me going forward? Is there some way I can open my mind so I can settle into more freedom and liberation? Oh, baby! Come the Full Moon on July 13, you’ll be asked to take a look at not only your expansiveness on a large-scale, but also the way in which you communicate and connect with your local community. If we think of it in the scope of politics, the Sun being in Cancer is like looking at the federal government, whereas the Moon being in Capricorn is looking at the local government. We must be engaged with both, as one cannot exist without the other. With that in mind, the Moon in Capricorn asks you to be practical and realistic in the realm of your community and local environment. With some support from illusive Neptune, innovative Uranus, and the Lunar Nodes of Fate, the releasing that is done with this Full Moon will help guide you closer to your Soul’s path.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius, this Cancer Season invites you to lean into the feeling and emotional support that comes with accepting other people’s assistance. Whether that be financial support or simply support via other people’s resources, you’re reminded, during this time of year, that you don’t need to do it all alone. This can certainly be challenging, but what’s important to remember is that the people in your life who are offering support, are also there to hold space for you when the going gets tough. The New Moon on June 28 allows you to really turn inward and reflect upon this area of your life, and calls for you to set intentions related to your ability (or lackthereof) to accept help from others. A simple mantra for this can be: “I am worthy of love, compassion, and support from others”. (Easier said than done, I know!) While you may feel some challenges arising during this time, particularly in how it relates to your creative self-expression, this challenge is presenting itself as a way to stir up some action from you. What plans and actions can you consider so you are better able to accept the support you deserve? Come the Full Moon on July 13, you’re asked to divert your attention towards your personal values, money, and finances. While the Moon in Capricorn is generally uncomfortable, it does serve as a reminder that practicality and sustainability holds great value. If there are any money habits or personal values that are no longer working for you, this is the time to let it go. If possible, perhaps you pay off that last bit of debt, or perhaps you review your budget. No matter the method, this Full Moon is gaining support from illusive Neptune, innovative Uranus, and the Lunar Nodes of Fate. She’s a magical and karmic one, my friend! What will you do to set yourself up for a more emotionally connected, yet sustainable, future?

Capricorn

Oh baby, this Cancer Season is alllllll about your relationships, dear Capricorn! As the Sun highlights the area of your life related to relationships and partnerships, you’re asked to shift your attention to the people in your life that you hold close. (As a reminder, this can be both intimate and platonic partners!) The New Moon on June 28 allows you to take a closer look at the relationships in your life, and invites you to set intentions in regards to the direction you’d like these relationships to move. While there may be some home or family challenges that arise, keep in mind that this challenge is here to stir up some action. Come the Full Moon on July 13, your attention turns to your self. Who are you? Who are you becoming? Who do you want to be? How is it aligned (or not) with the partnerships in your life? This is the time in which you are offered space to let go of what’s not working for you. While the Moon in Capricorn is generally uncomfortable, there is something to be said about leaning into understanding the practicality and sustainability of your feelings and emotions. You’ve been undergoing deep, personal transformation over the last several years, my friend, and this Full Moon only helps you move in the direction you need to be moving. As this Full Moon forms supportive aspects to illusive Neptune, innovative Uranus, and the Lunar Nodes of Fate, you’re invited to think outside of the box and you move closer towards your Soul’s purpose. It’s a magical time, my friend, and I invite you to lean into it.

Aquarius

Dearest Aquarius, this Cancer Season highlights your daily habits, routines, and rituals. While this also can bring emphasis to your daily work, you’re given the space to lean into the feeling of it all. As the New Moon settles in on June 28, take the time to turn inward and ask the important questions: how do my daily habits contribute to my emotional wellbeing? Do my rituals nurture me while offering steady ground and a soft landing? Does my work support my emotional comfort, or drain it? There is much to consider during this time of year, my friend, and you may notice some challenge arise in relation to your local community or neighborhood. Recognize that this challenge or obstacle is here to help stir up your energy and help you make action items to achieve your goals. As we approach the Full Moon on July 13, you’re then asked to look deep within the depths of your subconscious mind. Here, we hold secrets and collect dust, so it’s time to do some deep cleaning. While the Moon in Capricorn is generally uncomfortable, it does serve as a reminder that sustainability and practicality are of utmost importance. In short: if it’s not supporting your physical or mental well-being, let that ish go. This Full Moon is gaining support from illusive Neptune, innovative Uranus, and the Lunar Nodes of Fate, so the work that is being done here, and the releasing that comes as a result, is that of karmic purpose. It may be a little turbulent on the way down, but I can assure you that on the other side of the landing you have solid ground to stand upon. Take what you need, leave the rest, and remember that you are the Cosmos in living, breathing, action.

Pisces

Dearest Pisces, this Cancer Season is fun and expressive for you! You feel it all on the deepest of levels, so this Cancer Season invites you to channel that depth of feeling into all you create. Express yourself, have fun, and lean into the pleasure of it all– because you deserve it! The New Moon on June 28 asks you to set intentions related to your creativity, play, and pleasure. Maybe this looks like watercolor painting, drawing pictures in the sand at the beach, or simply drifting off in a daydream. No matter the medium, consider how you’d like to express whats swirling around on the inside as you move through life. The Full Moon on July 13 invites you to shift your focus to not only your creative endeavors, but also your social circles and peer groups. I’m here to remind you that these social circles should be there to uplift and support you, while helping keep you stable and grounded. The Moon in Capricorn is generally uncomfortable, however, it’s a lovely reminder that we must sustain our feelings and emotions. If the people in these circles are draining you of your emotional energy, my friend, this is a beautiful time to draw some boundaries or let them go. With support from illusive Neptune, innovative Uranus, and the Lunar Nodes of Fate, this Full Moon is packed with magic. Allow this time to guide you in the direction your Soul is pulling you, and assess what it is you’re looking to hold onto, and what you need to release. Sure, this Full Moon is magic babes, but so are you.
